(June 2014)

What I'll be doing

I am one of three riders cycling the 300 miles from Leicester to Paris over four/five days this Summer for Diabetes UK. We will be carrying all our kit with us as we don’t have a support van. All three of us are strict veggies too, so some people think we will keel over, but we will prove them wrong.

Leicester to Paris route

The route will take us through Oxford, to Portsmouth where we get the ferry to Caen (no we are not cycling over the Channel). We then cross Pegasus Bridge (a famous D-Day objective) hopefully without having baguettes fired at us, and across Normandy to Paris.  Normandy is challenging and there are some very big hillocks to cross.

Training is going very well, but we were chased by bullocks last weekend!
