Thinking about doing some research or publishing, but put off by the hassle of managing and citing all those references?

Help is at hand, UHL Libraries have purchased RefWorks, a world class piece of reference management software that will allow you to store your references and import them from databases like Pubmed, library catalogues and other sources. You can then insert them as citations into your work in Word, and change the order of those citations at the click of a mouse.

It will also create a reference list at the end of your work, and the layout for the list can be chosen from a list of the layouts for all the best journals in the world and formats such as the Harvard and Vancouver schemes. If you change your mind about the type of layout you want, you can change it at the click of your mouse.
The software is internet based, so can be accessed by you from anywhere in the world and you can even save full texts of the articles you use to the software, so if you want to show a colleague something at a conference, or read it in the middle of the night, its just a couple of clicks away.
