DynaMed, provides best current evidence summaries on over 3,200 clinical topics. Designe is updated daily, from reviews of the content of over 500 medical journals. Each newly-published article is evaluated for relevance and validity, and significant new evidence is integrated with existing topic coverage. The database has some features in common with UpToDate but Dynamedhas a faster updating cycle, a stronger UK focus, and useful dynamic links to NICE Guidelines and Patient Information.
•A study in the British Medical Journal, "Speed of updating online evidence based on point of care summaries: prospective cohort analysis," showed that DynaMedwas 78% faster at including evidence than EBM Guidelines, 86% faster than UpToDate, 95% faster than eMedicine, and 97% faster than Clinical Evidence. (BMJ 2011 15 October (7827).
