Referring to the UHL Diabetes Antenatal Team
The Diabetes Antenatal Clinics are held at the Leicester Royal Infirmary on a Wednesday Afternoon of each week and at the Leicester General Hospital on a Tuesday afternoon. Both clinics have multidisciplinary teams consisting of consultants, specialist nurses and specialist midwives and Nursing staff. See Clinic Information
Who can be referred?
- Women who have either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes prior to their pregnancy.
- Women who develop Gestational Diabetes i.e. Glucose Tolerance test (GTT) in pregnancy fasting value of more than 5.5 mmol and/or a 2 hour value of 7.8 mmol or more.
