Routine clinicsNew patients, follow up and annual review appointments across the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. These are by appointment only and are held at the new Diabetes Outpatient Department (former ward 4) at the Leicester General Hospital, Gwendolen Road.

Nurse Advisory Clinics with Diabetes Specialist Nurses

 
The advisory clinic take place at the Leicester General Hospital Outpatients Department (former ward 4). The clinics are run everyday for patient with Type 1 and 2 diabetes, where our diabetes Specialist Diabetes Nurses help you manage your diabetes better.

Your appointments


It is important that you attend your routine appointments to ensure that your diabetes management is effective.
 

SMS text reminders service 

 
To help reduce the amount of  patients that do not attend their appointment for whatever reason  we have set up SMS texting system. This means that all patients who give consent will receive a text message to their mobile phone, reminding them of their appointment. 
 

However patients can make changes using the hospital booking centre.
