How to get involved in the SEM Diabetes Research network

If you are a GP, someone with diabetes who would like to become involved in research or a research sponsor please read below.

Someone with diabetes

If you have diabetes and would like to know more about taking part in diabetes research link to our patient information page.

The Diabetes Research Network Coordinating Centre (DRNCC) is the first point of call for any sponsor wishing to place a research study or clinical trial through the Network. See website Diabetes Research Network or Tel: 0207 594 3397 Fax: 0207 594 3392

General Practitioner

If you are a GP with an interest in diabetes research and would like to be affiliated with the SEM Diabetes Network or simply find out a bit more about us, please contact Alison Caputo or alternatively please complete the questionnaire at the end of the page and return via email or post to Alison. (See details below).

This will help us to log your interest on our database and identify your preferred area(s) of research practice

Please note that any information held on our database is strictly confidential and will not be shared with any third party without your express permission.

Please feel free to circulate the questionnaire to any other colleagues you think may be interested.

Being an affiliated practice we would approach you about recruitment of patients into research studies and trials, provide training and mentorship for practice staff and help lessen the burden on practice capacity to deliver research by sending our specialist research nurses into the practice to help with study related tasks.
